Enterprise Research Campus Update #126 (Week of May 11, 2026)

The Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) project Phase A is mostly complete with some finish, roadway, hardscaping and landscaping work continuing.  Some finish work continues in and around the buildings, which are operating. The Foxglove Terrace, a rooftop bar at the Atlas Hotel recently opened.

Western Avenue

  • The paving of Western Avenue in front of ERC Phase A is complete.
  • The white and yellow line striping will take place overnight from Thursday, May 7 to Friday, May 8.
  • The bike and bus lane markings will take place overnight at a later date.
  • Restoration of sidewalk/crosswalk areas continues. Crews are working on the sidewalk apron across Kresge Way one side at a time to keep a traffic lane open. Concrete is scheduled to be placed on the eastern half of the entrance and on the area west of Kresge Way on Monday, May 11 or Tuesday, May 12 as weather permits. Once the concrete is cured a few days later, crews will switch to the opposite side of the Kresge Way entrance to prep and place concrete. The entrance will be plated in prepped areas prior to concrete placement.
  • Crews are coordinating with the city to relocate a light pole on the HBS side of the Trotting Avenue crosswalk next week. Restoration of the sidewalk with concrete placement will take place following the pole installation.
  • Miscellaneous finish, planting and irrigation work will continue throughout the week.

Streetscape

  • Crews will be prepping for replacing porous pavement at Milestone Street and Trotting Avenue in late June.
  • Planting will continue.
  • Irrigation work will finish up.

Greenway (now Allston Way)

  • Water feature and other paver finish work is underway.
  • Miscellaneous landscape and planting work continues.
  • Allstonway Welcome Weekend will take place on May 14 – 16.
