Enterprise Research Campus Update #125 (Week of May 4, 2026)

The Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) project Phase A is mostly complete with some finish, roadway, hardscaping and landscaping work continuing.  Some finish work continues in and around the buildings, which are operating. The Foxglove Terrace, a rooftop bar at the Atlas Hotel recently opened.

Western Avenue

  • The paving of Western Avenue will take place on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Two-way traffic will be maintained with police direction while crews work on one lane at a time.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained. The eastbound bike lane in front of the Enterprise Research Campus will be open throughout.
  • On Friday, May 1 paving crews will work on transition areas on the south (Enterprise Research Campus) side of the road with alternating access to the ERC at Milestone Street and Trotting Avenue. The pick-up and drop-off areas on Western Avenue will not be available. The hotel valet parking will be maintained using Hague Street.
  • On Saturday, May 2 paving will begin east to west in front of Harvard Business School followed by west to east paving adjacent to the ERC on Saturday.
  • For much of the morning on Saturday, May 2, the entrance to and from Kresge Way at Harvard Business School will be blocked with an interior detour in place using Batten Way.
  • Milestone Street and Trotting Avenue will alternate as access to the ERC starting late morning on Saturday, May 2 into the afternoon. The hotel valet parking will be maintained using Hague Street.
  • Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians should use caution on Western Avenue.
  • Temporary striping will take place on Sunday, May 3 followed by permanently striping at a later date.
  • Eversource crews plan to pull cable from manholes after the paving.
  • Miscellaneous finish and planting work will continue throughout the week.

Streetscape

  • Crews will be prepping for replacing porous pavement at Milestone Street and Trotting Avenue in May.
  • Planting and irrigation work will continue.

Greenway (now Allston Way)

  • Water feature work and testing and other paver work is underway.
  • Miscellaneous landscape and planting work continues with sod installation planned to start this week and continue for a few days.
