As the Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) project continues, we will provide project notifications that outline upcoming and impactful activities, including a map of the area for reference.
Residential/Hotel
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, December 6, hotel work in the lobby and bar will be underway. Garage clean-up work is underway.
- On Sunday, December 7, six carpenters will be working in the lobby of the hotel.
Weekday/Night Activities
- Trotting Avenue is open to the public as the midrise and highrise residential buildings (Verra) continue to be occupied.
- Podium work is being inspected between the buildings.
- Generators and heaters will be used while crews waterproof underground tanks for recaptured water.
- The hotel has its temporary certificate of occupancy.
- Punch list work continues in the midrise, highrise and hotel.
- Some elevator work continues in the hotel and garage.
- Garage clean-up and finish work is underway.
- Furniture and other operator supplies continue to be delivered to the hotel.
Laboratory and Office Buildings
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, December 6 terrace, exterior level 1 hardscape, penthouse mechanical, elevator, interior lobby and miscellaneous work will be underway.
- On Sunday, December 7, four electrician programmers and ten elevator installers will be working.
Weekday Activities
- Preparation and clean-up for testing and inspections will be ongoing. Boston Fire Department tests including fire-alarm testing may be scheduled off hours and may generate some noise.
- Elevators are being adjusted and inspected.
- MEP detail and start up activities are ongoing.
- Mechanical penthouse detail and start up activities continue.
- Lobby and other fit out detail work continues.
- Garage finish work continues.
- Punch-list work is underway on the building’s interior and exterior as well as on the land/hardscaping areas.

Greenway
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, December 6, carpenters will be working on the bioswale deck.
- On Sunday, December 7 no work will take place.

- Pavers will continue to be placed near the water features, at the shared use path and other areas.

Streetscape and Western Avenue
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, December 6, crews will be installing electrical conduit across Western Avenue, maintaining two-way traffic with police details, cones and signage. Curbing and ramp preparation work will also take place on the Harvard Business School side of the street.
- On Sunday, December 7, no work will take place.
Weekday/night Activities
- Sidewalk ramp installation, manhole/drain work and electrical conduit install across and on the Harvard Business School side of Western Avenue will continue to prepare for milling and paving. The roadway will be narrowed and two-way traffic maintained with police, cones and signage to direct traffic. The work will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the trenches will be backfilled and/or plated at the end of each shift.
- Milling of the old asphalt is currently planned for Thursday, December 11 and Friday, December 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. between National Resilience and Hague Street. One lane at a time from Hague Street to National Resilience, will be available, leaving a rough driving surface until the next week when paving is anticipated. Police details will be on onsite to direct traffic, pedestrians, cyclists and maintain access to the MBTA buses, to garages and parking lots. - The fence between Hague Street and Trotting Avenue will be moved off the street at the end of the week.
- Sidewalk crews will be placing concrete working between Milestone Street and the National Resilience entrance.
- Paver install will take place.
- Site furnishes will be installed.
- General clean-up and fence removal will take place at Milestone and Trotting North.
Building Mock-Ups
- Removal of the building mockups on the corner of Hague and Rotterdam Streets is underway. The demolition work began on December 1 and is mainly taking place from inside the Hague Street lot. During demolition, a lane on Rotterdam Street will be used intermittently. The work will continue for two weeks and will generate noise. Mock-up materials will be disposed of inside the site with equipment using the Hague Street gate.
General
- The projects work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturdays/Sundays/off hours as permitted by the City of Boston from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Crews will coordinate work in accordance with building operations for those buildings that have opened.
- Drones will be in use bi-weekly to monitor construction progress on site.
- Drones will be operated by licensed pilots in accordance with Harvard University and the City of Boston regulations.
- Weekly flights are weather dependent and are scheduled one weekday morning.
- A drone flight is planned on Thursday, December 11.
