As the Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) project continues, we will provide project notifications that outline upcoming and impactful activities, including a map of the area for reference.
Residential/Hotel
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, November 22, electrical, wall covering and painting work will take place in the hotel.
- On Sunday, November 23, six workers will be installing wall coverings in the hotel.
- No work is planned for November 29 and November 30.
Weekday/Night Activities
- Trotting Avenue is open to the public as the midrise and highrise residential buildings (Verra) continue to be occupied.
- Paver, planter and other installations will continue on the podium between the buildings.
- Punch list work is finishing in the midrise and continuing in the highrise and hotel.
- Fit out work continues in the highrise.
- Elevator work is underway.
- The hotel received its temporary certificate of occupancy.
- Fit out and finish work continue at the hotel.
- Garage clean-up and finish work is underway.
- Furniture and other operator supplies are being delivered to the hotel.
Laboratory and Office Buildings
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, November 22 and November 29, terrace, exterior level 1 hardscape, penthouse mechanical, elevator, interior lobby and miscellaneous work will be underway.
- On Sunday, November 23 and November 30, four electrician programmers and ten elevators installers will be working.
Weekday Activities
- Preparation and clean-up for testing and inspections will be ongoing. Boston Fire Department tests including fire-alarm testing may be scheduled off hours and may generate some noise.
- Terrace paver and finish work continues.
- Elevators are being adjusted and inspected.
- MEP detail and start up activities are ongoing.
- Mechanical penthouse detail and start up activities continue.
- Lobby and other fit out detail work continues.
- Garage finish work continues.
- Hardscape site furnishings will be installed.
- Punch-list work is underway on the building’s interior and exterior as well as on the land/hardscaping areas.
Treehouse Conference Center
Weekend Activities in Coordination with Treehouse Operations
- On Saturday, November 22 and November 29, interior work only will take occur.
- On Sunday, November 23 and November 30 no work will take place.
Weekday Activities in Coordination with Treehouse Operations
- Interior and operational punch list activity will continue.
- Roof detail and terrace paver installation continue.
- Façade punch list detail work will take place.
- Exterior landscaping/hardscaping detail will be underway.
- Loading dock activities will finish.
- Operational deliveries and work will take place.
Greenway
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, November 22 and November 29, pavers and softscape will be installed.
- On Sunday, November 23 and November 30, no work will take place.
Weekday Activities
- Remaining shrubs will be planted.
- Water features finish work and testing will take place.
- Pavers will be placed
- Bioswale deck, concrete footings and plantings will be placed.
- Punchlist work has begun.
Streetscape and Western Avenue
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, November 22, prep work for concrete on the corner of Western Avenue will take place near the bike land and temp paving work will be underway at the north end of Trotting, closing the roadway in that area. All will be directed to Milestone. On Saturday, November 29, no work will take place.
- On Sunday, November 23 and November 30, no work will take place.
Weekday/night Activities
- Sidewalk ramp installation, drain work and electrical conduit install across and on the Harvard Business School side of Western Avenue will take place beginning on Monday, December 1 to prepare for paving. The roadway will be narrowed and two-way traffic maintained with police directing traffic and will begin at 9:30 a.m.
- Sidewalk crews will begin working between Milestone Street and the National Resilience entrance.
- Shrub, benches and amenity installation will be ongoing at Milestone and Trotting North.
- Light pole installation will occur.
Building Mock-Ups
- Preparations are underway to remove the building mockups on the corner of Hague and Rotterdam Streets. The demolition work is targeted to begin on December 1 and is expected to take two weeks. It will mainly take place from inside the Hague Street lot, however, a lane on Rotterdam Street will be used intermittently. This work will generate noise.
General
- No construction work is planned for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 27.
- The projects work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturdays/Sundays/off hours as permitted by the City of Boston from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Crews will coordinate work in accordance with building operations for those buildings that have opened.
- Drones will be in use bi-weekly to monitor construction progress on site.
- Drones will be operated by licensed pilots in accordance with Harvard University and the City of Boston regulations.
- Weekly flights are weather dependent and are scheduled one weekday morning.
