As the Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) project continues, we will provide project notifications that outline upcoming and impactful activities, including a map of the area for reference.
Residential/Hotel
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, August 23, many activities will be taking place including paver install near the high-rise residential building with several boom lifts operating and workers on staging for panel installation. First floor work will take place in the hotel. Elevator and miscellaneous interior work are ongoing in hotel with punch-list work in the high-rise building.
- On Sunday, August 24, at the high rise building twelve workers will be installing panels in the former hoist area and another twenty-five workers will be installing pavers, planters and more. Inside the high rise, two workers will be in the elevators and hotel, a crew of five working in elevator shafts. Six painters will be working in the high rise.
Weekday/Night Activities
- Trotting Avenue is open to the public as the midrise and high rise residential buildings (Verra) begin to be occupied.
- Crews are scheduled to work during the day and in the evenings at the high-rise, exterior façade from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on swing staging the former hoist area.
- Paver activities continue.
- Punch list work is finishing in the midrise and continuing in the highrise.
- Testing and inspections will be ongoing in preparation for a temporary certificate of occupancy in late September in the hotel. Other hotel activities include:
- Ground floor work including soffit panel installation using lifts
- Elevator installation and start up activity
- Finishing one topping slab concrete placements
- MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) work
- Framing, drywall and bathroom installation
- Flooring and painting
- Finish, tile and millwork
Laboratory and Office Buildings
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, August 23, roofing activity, level 1 exterior and south side site work will be underway. Interior drywall, elevator work and MEP work in the penthouse as well as miscellaneous clean-up activities will occur.
- On Sunday, August 24 no work will take place.
Weekday Activities
- Boom and scissor lifts are active around the perimeter of the buildings.
- Level 1 soffit and exterior work is underway.
- Smaller concrete operations continue.
- Roof and terrace activities including paver install are underway.
- Elevators are being installed and inspected.
- MEP work is ongoing.
- Mechanical penthouse activities continue.
- Stone masonry work continues.
- At Axle Way, irrigation work continues.
- Excavation for a bio-cell structure at Trotting Avenue will take place.
- Irrigation and concrete pad placement.
- Framing, drywall and bathroom install are underway.
- Finish, tile and millwork are ongoing.
- Garage work continues.
Treehouse Conference Center
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, August 23, wood panel and façade installation and some roof activities will take place. Crews will be installing pavers. Interior work includes flooring, ceilings, elevator and miscellaneous work including MEP activity.
- On Sunday, August 24, approximately thirty workers will be on site, including two roofers, and conducting interior elevator, ceiling, electrical and other miscellaneous work.
Weekday/Night Activities
- A site crew will be excavating to place stone, shallow utilities and pavers from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Wood trim panels and other façade installation continue two shifts from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Roof detail activities continue.
- Elevator work is underway.
- MEP activities are ongoing
- Building systems start-up, testing and inspections in preparation for temporary certificate of occupancy in late September are underway.
- Flooring and ceiling work continues.
- Bathroom and kitchen work continues.
- Painting is underway.

Greenway
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, August 23, excavation in the bio-swale areas will take place.
Weekday Activities
- Landscaping crews continue installing pavers at the shared-use path.
- Water feature install work continues with a concrete placement for its slab and other footings on Tuesday, August 26.
- Outcropping (boulder)install continues.
- Excavating and prep for footings for bio-swales.
Streetscape and Western Ave
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, August 23, stone layers will be set on Trotting Avenue.
Weekday Activities
- Footings and slab concrete placement on Trotting Avenue, north of the loading dock.
- Structural soils placing and irrigation and stone reservoir work will take place along Milestone St.
- Temporary lighting pole and trenching work continue inside the fence along Western Avenue.
Building Mock-Ups
- Building mockups are on the corner of Hague and Rotterdam Streets.
Eversource Conduit Project
- Eversource electrical manhole work and splicing continues along Western Avenue and at Trotting Avenue. This public utility work is not under the supervision of ERC.
General
- The projects work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturdays/Sundays/off hours as permitted by the City of Boston from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Drones will be in use bi-weekly to monitor construction progress on site.
- Drones will be operated by licensed pilots in accordance with Harvard University and the City of Boston regulations.
- Weekly flights are weather dependent and are scheduled one weekday morning.
- Drones are scheduled to fly on Tuesday, August 26 at 9 a.m. and Thursday, August 28 at 3 p.m.
