As the Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) project continues, we will provide project notifications that outline upcoming and impactful activities, including a map of the area for reference.
Residential/Hotel
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, August 16, many activities will be taking place including paver installation near the high-rise residential building with several boom lifts operating and workers on staging for panel installation. First floor work will take place in the buildings, especially focused on lobby work in the highrise. Elevator and miscellaneous interior work are ongoing in hotel with punch-list work in the high-rise building.
- On Sunday, August 17, at the high rise building twelve workers will be installing panels in the former hoist area and another twenty-five workers will be installing pavers, planters and more. Inside the high rise and hotel, a crew of four working in elevator shafts. Six painters will be working in the highrise.
Weekday/Night Activities
- Trotting Avenue is open to the public as the midrise and highrise residential buildings (Verra) begin to be occupied.
- Pre-testing will be ongoing in preparation for a temporary certificate of occupancy in late September in the hotel.
- Crews are scheduled to work in the evenings at the high-rise, exterior façade from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on swing staging the former hoist infill area with portable light towers pointed at the building.
- Paver activities continue.
- Exterior wall sheathing, panel clips and green exterior panels are being installed on the high-rise building at the former hoist area.
- Punch list work is finishing in the midrise and continuing in the highrise.
- Ground floor work is underway on the hotel, including soffit panel installation using lifts at the hotel.
- Elevator installation and start up activity continues.
- Smaller concrete operations continue.
- MEP work is ongoing.
- Framing, drywall and bathroom installation are taking place inside the hotel.
- Flooring and painting are underway.
Laboratory and Office Buildings
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, August 16, roofing activity, level 1 exterior and south side site work will be underway. Interior drywall, elevator work and MEP work in the penthouse as well as miscellaneous clean-up activities will occur.
- On Sunday, August 17 no work will take place.
Weekday Activities
- A small crane will be on site next week to load railings.
- Boom and scissor lifts are active around the perimeter of the buildings.
- Level 1 soffit and exterior work is underway.
- Smaller concrete operations continue.
- Roof and terrace activities including paver install are underway.
- Elevators are being installed and inspected.
- MEP work is ongoing.
- Mechanical penthouse activities continue.
- Stone masonry work continues.
- At Axle Way, concrete sidewalks will be placed.
- Excavation for a bio-cell structure at Trotting Avenue will take place.
- Irrigation and concrete pad placement.
- Framing, drywall and bathroom install are underway.
- Finish, tile and millwork are ongoing.
- Garage work continues.
- Bike storage is being installed.
Treehouse Conference Center
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, August 16, wood panel and façade installation and some roof activities will take place. Interior work includes flooring, ceilings, elevator and miscellaneous work including MEP activity.
- On Sunday, August 17, approximately twelve workers will be rearranging and cleaning up the laydown area, as well as conducting interior elevator work.
Weekday/Night Activities
- A site crew will be excavating to place stone, install trench drains, shallow utilities and prepping for pavers from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Wood trim panels and other façade installation continue six days a week.
- Roof activities continue.
- Elevator work is underway.
- MEP activities are ongoing.
- Flooring and ceiling work continues.
- Bathroom and kitchen work continues.

- Finish, tile and mill work are ongoing.

Greenway

- On Saturday, August 16, excavation in the bio-swale areas will take place.
Weekday Activities
- Trees will be delivered and planted.
- Landscaping crews continue working on the shared-use path.
- Water feature install work is underway.
- Outcropping (boulder)install continues.
- Excavating and prep for footings for bio-swales.
Streetscape and Western Ave
Weekend Activities
- On Saturday, August 16, stone layers will be set on Trotting Avenue.
Weekday Activities
- Concrete prep and placement for sidewalks on Trotting Avenue, north of the loading dock. Curbing, paver install near the buildings.
- Irrigation work and sidewalk work will take place along Milestone St.
- Temporary lighting pole and trenching work continue inside the fence along Western Avenue.
Building Mock-Ups
- Building mockups are on the corner of Hague and Rotterdam Streets.
Eversource Conduit Project
- Eversource electrical manhole work and splicing continues along Western Avenue and at Trotting Avenue. This public utility work is not under the supervision of ERC.
General
- The projects work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturdays/Sundays/off hours as permitted by the City of Boston from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Drones will be in use bi-weekly to monitor construction progress on site.
- Drones will be operated by licensed pilots in accordance with Harvard University and the City of Boston regulations.
- Weekly flights are weather dependent and are scheduled one weekday morning.
- A drone is scheduled to fly on Thursday, August 21, at 3 p.m.
