As the Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) project continues, we will provide project notifications that outline upcoming and impactful activities, including a map of the area for reference.
Residential/Hotel
- Preparation for weekday concrete placements will take place this Saturday, June 1 starting at 7 a.m.
- Concrete operations are ongoing.
- Steel detailing will take place at the hotel, now up to Level 10.
- Utility tie-ins continue inside the site on Trotting Avenue and at Western Avenue.
- Concrete will be placed at the mechanical penthouse atop the midrise residential building.
- The hoist (exterior construction elevator) is being installed on the Trotting Avenue side of the midrise.
- Work is progressing to level 10 of the high-rise building.
Laboratory and Office Buildings
- Work will take place this Saturday, June 1 starting at 7 a.m.
- Steel detailing will take place.
- Crews will be saw cutting concrete on lower levels.
- Rebar will be installed in preparation for deck placements.
- Concrete operations continue with deck placements.
- Structural steel continues to be delivered and installed on both the east and west buildings.
- The east building steel is up to level 4 and the west building is up to level 7.
Greenway
- This section of the site is currently being used for laydown space.
Treehouse Conference Center
- Work will take place this Saturday, June 1 starting at 7 a.m.
- Crews will continue mass timber and core work.
- Mass timber installation is underway with two trailer deliveries per week.
- Core completion activity continues.
- Final inspections and connections for temporary power are expected. Eversource may intermittently be on site and off Western Avenue.
Building Mock-Ups
- Punchlist work and other adjustments are ongoing on all five mockups.
General
- The site’s four tower cranes have been erected. Three will be operational this week. They are designed to move or “weathervane” in the wind.
- The projects’ work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays as permitted by the City of Boston from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Intermittent use of power trowels for concrete finishing may take place after 6 p.m.
- Drones will be in use bi-weekly to monitor construction progress on site.
- Drones will be operated by licensed pilots in accordance with Harvard University and the City of Boston regulations.
- Flights are weather dependent and are scheduled weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. alternating weekly.
- No drone flight is scheduled this week.
