As the Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) project continues, we will provide project notifications that outline upcoming and impactful activities, including a map of the area for reference.
Residential/Hotel
- Work will be underway this Saturday, May 18, starting at 7 a.m.
- Crews will be preparing for concrete placements and steel detailing.
- Tower cranes will be operational.
- Concrete operations are ongoing.
- A concrete placement at the mid-rise residential building is scheduled for an early start at 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 25.
- Steel detailing will take place at the hotel, now up to Level 10.
- Utility tie-ins continue inside the site on Trotting Avenue.
- Intermittent use of power trowels for concrete finishing may take place after 6 a.m.
- Visible work is underway with work progressing to level eight and nine of the high rise and midrise residential buildings.
Laboratory and Office Buildings
- A small crew will maintain site operations on Saturday, May 18.
- Concrete operations continue with deck placements beginning next week.
- The two tower cranes are operating, and structural steel continues to be delivered and installed on both the east and west buildings.
Greenway
- This section of the site is currently being used for laydown space.
Treehouse Conference Center
- Work will take place this Saturday, May 18.
- Crews will be removing scaffolding.
- Masons will be working on the core.
- A crane will be operating on site.
- Crews will also be removing scaffolding on Sunday, May 19 starting at 7 a.m.
- Work is underway on the elevator cores with a concrete wall placement next week.
- Backfilling operations are ongoing.
- Crews are preparing for mass timber install later this month.
- Final inspections and connections for temporary power are expected. Eversource may intermittently be on site and off Western Avenue.
Building Mock-Ups
- Punchlist work and other adjustments are ongoing on all five mockups.
General
- The site’s four tower cranes have been erected and are operational. They are designed to move or “weathervane” in the wind.
- Drones will be in use bi-weekly to monitor construction progress on site.

- Drones will be operated by licensed pilots in accordance with Harvard University and the City of Boston regulations.
- Flights are weather dependent and are scheduled Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. alternating weekly.
- No drone flight is expected this month.
