Enterprise Research Campus Update #32 (Week of March 18, 2024)

As the Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) project continues, we will provide project notifications that outline upcoming and impactful activities, including a map of the area for reference.

Residential/Hotel

There will be work this Saturday, March 16 starting at 7 a.m.
- Crews will be preparing for concrete placements.
- Tower cranes will be operational.
Concrete operations are ongoing.
Intermittent use of power trowels for concrete finishing may take place after 6 a.m.
Crews continue erecting the hotel core structure.
Visible work is underway on the sky deck, level two and level three.

Laboratory and Office Buildings

Structural steel continues to be delivered and installed on the first floor of the west tower using the tower crane.
Under-slab plumbing/piping continues installation followed by placing drainage stone on the east building.

Greenway

This section of the site is currently being used for laydown space.

Treehouse Conference Center

Work will take place this Saturday, March 16, starting at 7 a.m.
- Concrete crews will be preparing for placements.
Work is underway on the elevator core.
Concrete placements and rebar operations are ongoing.
Temporary power is being installed on site. Eversource may use a vacuum truck.

Building Mock-Ups

Punchlist work is ongoing on all five mockups.

General

The site’s three tower cranes have been erected and are operational. They are designed to move or “weathervane” in the wind.
- Drones will be in use bi-weekly to monitor construction progress on site.
- Drones will be operated by licensed pilots in accordance with Harvard University and the City of Boston regulations.
- Flights are weather dependent and are scheduled Wednesdays or Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. alternating weekly.
- A drone flight is scheduled for Thursday, March 21 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
After hours snow removal operations will be ongoing throughout the winter months during periods of inclement weather.
